This project, which involved building a Mausoleum and Burial Plots at the current Crematorium, was undertaken during the winter months and needed to be completed by the start of Spring to ensure the large planting scheme was complete in the correct time period to ensure the plants took.
All of the plots are lined with English Yew Hedges.
The project was carried out adjacent to the live and active crematorium, so the working conditions had to be sensitive to the services.
Poplars were proud to complete and handover the project on time despite there being a £100k variation being added to increase the parking facility and upgrade the drainage, which was achieved by installing a hearse road finished with paving slabs from @marshallsgroup and marble fronted crypts imported from Italy.
