Poplars embarked on a challenging and intricate project in Pound Lane, London.
The contract involved the construction of a 3-storey block comprising nine residential flats, with a mix of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom units.
The scope of works covered everything from groundworks to roofing, including landscaping and car park development. The site, previously piled by another contractor, posed significant challenges, from its proximity to a cemetery/synagogue to the limited access, road closures by Thames Water, and complex stakeholder dynamics.
The brick used was to be in-keeping with the local area, Velfac windows, a hand-cut mansard roof with aluminium cladding and GRP roof and balconies finished with composite decking. Internally, all finishing was set out by client supplied CGI imagery, a door entry security system and fire safety system.
